From the desk of Registrar, GNDU

In the last fifty years the name of Guru Nanak Dev University has become synonymous with distinction, innovation, reliability and exceptional eminence. I deem it my honour to serve as the Registrar of the University which is embedded with humanitarian mission and philanthropic fervour to inspire the youth to achieve brilliance in their chosen fields. The pledge to follow the path of achievements and accomplishments is leading us towards imposing apexes. In spite of being in its infancy stage, GNDU is heading towards achieving finesse on academic and non-academic horizons through consistent hard work and commitment.

A transparent culture in all fields that enthuses teamwork and zeal to reinforce the vein for exploration to achieve global distinction and quality has brought to Guru Nanak Dev University the status of “Category One” University, besides “University with Potential for Excellence” by UGC and “A++” grade by NAAC. Unusual passion & commitment, state-of-the-art infrastructure & facilities, highly qualified & experienced faculty members, proactive management, and best practices in teaching & learning processes, attract students across continents to GNDU. Moreover, the University is committed to build an advantageous environment for dissemination of knowledge guided by pioneering philosophy and scientific enquiry. Guru Nanak Dev University is making intensive efforts to hasten infrastructural expansion, launch more society oriented and social outreach programmes.

Facility of on-line admissions, on-line counselling for State Level Admissions, Credit Based Evaluation System, contemporary curriculum, students’ participation and involvement in academic and co-curricular works throughout the semester, well-equipped laboratories with modern equipment, collaboration with international and national universities for courses, research projects and conferences, specially designated ‘Chairs’, organization of national and international seminars at regular intervals, research workshops, bring Guru Nanak Dev University at par with international standards. Postgraduate learners are encouraged to write short dissertations, term papers, research proposals and carry out assisted research projects to make them familiar with the higher level of investigation. Students are provided with abundant opportunities to exhibit their talents in various fields like sports, theatre, cultural activities, and many more. The separate hostels for girls and boys, duteous care and systematic planning at various levels make GNDU a torch bearer of the new generation and their brilliant future.

Even during worldwide interruption of all activities forced due to the Covid-19, our University immediately shifted to online learning to serve as the educational platform, transforming challenges into opportunities. With incessant inspiration of our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, active participation of teachers, researchers, and its employees, Guru Nanak Dev University is persistently endeavouring to attain academic excellence and create a concrete edifice for an excellent future of our youth.
